Get yourself screened and share the facts with those close to you. Bring an end to breast cancer once and for all!
Every 13 minutes a woman dies of breast cancer1. And two of the biggest risk factors are the ones we cannot control: getting older and being a woman.
If we're going to see a decrease in the number of deaths from this deadly disease, we need to renew our commitment to eradicating it completely.
Doctors and scientists are working hard to produce breakthrough findings that will make strides toward this lofty goal. But we can also come together and declare a real end to breast cancer. If we as individuals vow our own commitment to staying healthy, being as informed as possible, and educating others, we stand an excellent chance at accomplishing this goal.
The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed some elective procedures on hold, leading to a substantial decline in cancer screenings. Breast cancer is sometimes found after symptoms appear, but many women with breast cancer have no symptoms. This is why regular breast cancer screening is so important2.
Finding breast cancer early and getting state-of-the-art cancer treatment are meanwhile still the most important strategies to prevent deaths from breast cancer3. Before it comes to that point, get yourself screened and share these facts with those close to you.
Pledge to inform yourself and others about the benefits of early detection. Encourage family members and friends to do the same. Talk to your doctor about the realities of breast cancer. Then sign the pledge and declare your dedication to saying goodbye to breast cancer forever!

The Pledge:
As a supporter of all those living with breast cancer, I acknowledge that breast cancer is a deadly and often incurable disease. I understand that reducing risks and getting screened early are the best tools of preventing those deaths.
As such, I pledge to:
- Eat healthfully and exercise regularly.
- Visit my doctor yearly.
- Perform at-home, self-administered breast exams often.
- Share important breast cancer facts and information with loved ones.
- Protect myself when exposed to the sun.
- Keep a positive attitude!
Breast cancer may not have a cure, but I pledge to support those living with and fighting this disease until one is found.
Sincerely,
